A further milestone during the installation of a new stamping machine at WITTE Niederberg has been reached.
Employees of August Alborn GmbH & Co. KG skilfully steer the mighty 100t heavy-duty crane millimetre by millimetre across the floor of WITTE Niederberg’s production plant in Wülfrath in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).
Immediately prior to this, the foundation work and all precautionary measures for the installation of the individual elements for the 5000kN servo machine were completed according to schedule.
Mounting the press table, tappet and head piece from the press manufacturer, Andritz Kaiser, went as smoothly as the meshing of gears, including handling the head piece which alone weighed 50t.
Next to the mounted scrap conveyor system, one of the tension anchors was also passed through a specially created opening in the building’s roof and moved skilfully into its designated position.
WITTE Niederberg is the quintessence of stamping and die-casting technology within the whole of the WITTE Components company.
As with all our locations, we feel it is essential to constantly modernise our manufacturing facilities so that we are able to continue to provide significant competitive advantages to our customers well into the future.
Commissioning is scheduled for September 2016.
