PLASTICS FOR EVEN THE MOST STRINGENT OF DEMANDS

Many of our customers require injection-moulded parts with an increased mechanical rigidity but a reduced weight. In addition, their surfaces have to be suitable for coating. Our solution for combining these properties in one product: state-of-the-art injection-moulding processes.

To this end, we use our know-how from our injection-moulding plant in Bitburg. Here, we produce components in standard injection-moulding processes. With our state-of-the-art production line, we are able to meet the challenge of producing injection-moulded parts with increased mechanical rigidity and surfaces suitable for coating, but at the same time with a constant or reduced weight – a requirement specified by many of our customers.

Processing plastic parts requires extensive know-how, both in the development as well as in the production. We use approximately 10,000 tons of plastic granules each year. Thanks to a low specific weight, high durability and stiffness, as well as flexible functionality, plastics are the ideal material and can even be used to replace metal parts. The prerequisite for high-quality plastic injection moulding is a high degree of precision in tool, mould and die making. At WITTE Components, we can also process plastic parts into multi-component parts and can even produce hybrid sub-assemblies with metal-plastic composite materials. It is very important to us that when we produce these the plastic components match perfectly with other product components.

Our Machine Park

  • Our injection-moulding machines are designed for a production range of 50 - 5,000 kN closing force.
  • All injection moulding machines are provided with fully-automated extraction systems (6-axis robot) which always ensure cost-effective, flexible production.
  • Many of our injection-moulding machines are integrated into a fully automated production island for subsequent structural element assembly.

Our Raw Materials

  • Processing all commercially available thermoplastics
  • Specialising in polyamides (PA6, PA66, Pa66/6) with/without glass fibre reinforcement, upon request also with other fillers
  • Centralised material drying using air circulation
  • Centralised material feeding using compressed air
  • Supply of raw materials: silo system, Oktabin, bags
